Is It Safe To Use For Drinking Purpose Water Coming From Solar Water Heater?
i have a solar water heater in my residence i want to know wheather it is safe to drink that water if we take preacaution while storing and collection from the solar water heater/

Storing any water will make it taste flat. The oxygen will escape from it. If the solar unit is tied into your homes water supply, it must also meet sanitary standards. Basically, your heater is no different than a standard water heater.
If you’re asking whether the solar heater is enough to pasteurize the water (kill the germs), then that depends on your heater, and the rate of flow through it.
Here is some information on solar pasteurization: http://solarcooking.wikia.com/wiki/Water… .
If you can get at least 65 C out of your heater, that’s pretty good.
If ur water is genrally clean then its ok to take solar heater water for drinking..
But anywhere in India I dont think the water is so clean n gem free that u can use it for drinking just from a water heater., that too a solar powered one.. Its not safe. May be you can take de hot water from the heater and boil well, then store n use.. but not direct from the solar heater.. the temprature and boiling in the water heater is not sufficient to kill all de gems in the water.
I suggest a ROS water Filter for pure water.
Take Care.
Solar heater only heats the water. If it is drinkable water drink it. If not buy water purifier.
If it is potable (safe to drink) going in and the materials are safe for potable water then yes it should be safe to drink
Go ahead drink all you want. Other then heating the water, there are no changes made
